David H. Evans, MD

 

Dr. Evans has been practicing anesthesiology since 1989, and his specialties include acute and chronic pain management.

Originally from Bountiful, Utah, Dr. Evans is a graduate of the University of Utah, Salt Lake City with a degree in Spanish and a master’s degree in Social Work. He received his doctorate of medicine from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Evans’ internship and residency training were performed at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. Serving for 10 years in the United States Navy in both active and reserve status, he participated in Desert Shield and Storm. In 1992, he began practicing in the Wiregrass and was a staff anesthesiologist for Anesthesia Consultants Medical Group, P.C. until May of 2003, when he began to practice pain management on a full-time basis.

Certified as a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and by the American Board of Anesthesiology with specialty boards in pain management, Dr. Evans is a member of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, Houston County Medical Society, Alabama Society of Anesthesiologists, California Medical Society, Utah Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He is licensed by the states of Alabama, California, Florida and Utah.

Dr. Evans and his wife, Nancy, live in Dothan. They are proud parents of three daughters and one son, and very proud grandparents. His wife is a clinical nursing instructor at Wallace Community College. His personal interests, besides his grandchildren, include golf, church service, water-skiing and snow-skiing.
