Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is pleased to announce Deborah A. Reif, MBA, CHC, CHPC, has been named compliance officer.

Deborah has more than 10 years of healthcare experience in finance, privacy and compliance.

She most recently served as corporate responsibility officer and privacy officer at Mercy Health in Springfield, Ohio. She has also served as controller at Wayne Hospital in Greenville, Ohio and as financial manager at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.

Deborah is certified in healthcare compliance and healthcare privacy compliance. She is a member of the Healthcare Compliance Association.

Deborah received her Associates degree in Accounting in 2002 from Clark State Community College, Springfield, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2006 and Masters of Business Administration in 2012 from Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio.

Deborah and her husband, Allen, have two grown children, a son, Stephan and a daughter, Carolyn. They enjoy the warm weather and outdoor activities such as visiting the beach, hiking and bicycling.
