Child Development
Center

The Child Development Center (CDC) provides a safe and quality environment for children of Southeast Health employees. The CDC was established in 1992 and is licensed by the Alabama Department of Human Resources. It offers a theme base, hands on curriculum. The CDC accepts children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. There is an annual $30 registration fee for all children at the CDC.

6 Weeks – 18 Months

are provided with a warm, stimulating environment designed to enhance development and
nurture growth.

Toddlers Week
18 Months – 2.5 Years

are exposed to unit themes and play that encourages learning through individual developmental patterns.

Pre-School
2.5 – 5 Years

are in child-centered classrooms where qualified teachers facilitate group and individual activities. Each age level in pre-school builds the foundation of preparedness for kindergarten.

$110 Weekly

School Age Programs

School-Age programs include after-school and full-time care for holidays and summer.

After-school care includes transportation from area schools to the CDC. Children are provided a snack, homework assistance and outside time to play.

The full-time summer program includes field trips to museums, parks and entertainment. There are additional weekly activity fees associated with these trips.

After-School: $46 a week

Holidays: $19 per day
