When you need infusion therapy, convenient access to treatment in a comfortable, supportive setting can make a difference. The Southeast Health Infusion Therapy team provides comprehensive outpatient infusion services for patients with a variety of medical conditions.
Our experienced registered nurses and patient care technicians work together to provide safe, compassionate care while making your treatment experience as comfortable as possible.
Outpatient Infusion Services
Southeast Health provides physician-ordered infusions, injections and other outpatient therapies for patients with complex or chronic conditions, including autoimmune, infectious, neurological, kidney and gastrointestinal diseases. Services include:
• Medication infusions, including medications such as Remicade, interferon and Solu-Medrol
• Antibiotic therapy
• Injectable treatments
• Blood and blood product transfusions
• Hydration therapy
• IV access device insertion and removal
• Central line maintenance, including PICC lines, vascular access ports and Hickman catheters
• Blood draws from all types of lines
• Patient and caregiver education related to treatment and line care
What to Expect During Your Visit
Our Infusion Therapy team works closely with you and your caregiver throughout treatment. In addition to administering your prescribed therapy, our team provides assessments, answers questions, offers education about your treatment and communicates updates to your referring physician.
Scheduling and Referrals
Outpatient infusion therapy requires a physician referral. Once we receive your referral, our clinical team will work with you and/or your caregiver to coordinate treatment dates and times based on your physician’s orders and your individual needs.
