Kim Stanford, LPN, Six-East, named 2026 Nurse of the Year
Congratulations to Kim Stanford, LPN, Six-East, for being named the 2026 Southeast Health Nurse of the Year at last Friday’s Nurses Week Awards Ceremony.
“Kim was very knowledgeable, caring and helpful during my stay at Southeast Health. You don’t find caring individuals every day and she stood out from the crowd and really cared about helping others,” according to a patient who nominated Kim for a Daisy Award.
Another patient wrote, “she has been so phenomenal with her job, even being as busy as she is to help me. She makes me feel like I am her only patient even though I am not.”
Kim was one of five finalists for the top nurse recognition. All the finalists were monthly Daisy Award winners throughout the last year. Congratulations to all the finalists and the monthly Daisy Award winners. The four finalists along with Kim were:
