
Dr. Crowe joins the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute
Southeast Health is pleased to announce Barry G. Crowe, MD, FACS, board certified in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, has joined the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute at 102 Doctors Drive.
Dr. Crowe comes to Southeast Health Medical Center from the Heart and Lung Surgeons of East Alabama in Opelika. He has been practicing cardiovascular and thoracic surgery for more than 20 years. He has significant experience in performing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, Aortic and Mitral Valve Replacements/Repairs, high risk cardiac cases, general thoracic surgery, and oncologic thoracic surgery.
Dr. Crowe received his Bachelor of Science with honors from Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Crowe completed a residency in general surgery at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. He did his cardiovascular surgery training at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Crowes’ hobbies include all things athletic, short long ranch marksmanship and culinary exploration.
