Southeast Health is pleased to announce Patricia Hughes, DO, internal medicine, has joined the Southeast Health Eastside Clinic and she is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Hughes, who is a Houston County native and a graduate of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) in Dothan, comes to the Eastside Clinic from another internal medicine practice in Dothan. Dr. Hughes will continue the quality care established by Gaynel B. Taylor, MD, who recently retired after more than 20 years at the Eastside Clinic.

Dr. Hughes, after graduating from Houston County High School in Columbia, received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Troy University in Dothan. She earned her medical degree from ACOM, the academic entity of Southeast Health. She completed her residency at Baptist Health in Montgomery, Alabama.

The Eastside Clinic is at 1206 Columbia Highway inside Ross Clark Circle. The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to noon. To schedule an appointment, call 334-677-5986.
