Dr. Martinez, vascular surgeon, joins Southeast Surgical Associates

Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is pleased to welcome Eduardo Milton Martinez, MD, FACS, vascular surgeon, to Southeast Surgical Associates.

Dr. Martinez comes to Dothan from the Miami area in south Florida. He had his own practice and was on staff at three Miami area hospitals as a vascular and endovascular surgeon – Larkin Community Hospital, Kendall Regional Medical Center and Mercy Hospital. He was also clinical assistant professor of surgery at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, and active teaching staff in the Surgical Residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center as well as for the Osteopathy Surgical Residency at Larkin Community Hospital.

Dr. Martinez received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Thomas University in Miami. He earned his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1988. He did his residency training in general surgery graduating from Polyclinic Medical Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He then completed his fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at The Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix in 1997.  He trained in the early pioneering days of endovascular surgery and has maintained an active interest in advanced endovascular techniques.

He is joined by his wife, Lourdes, and their son, Marco Antonio.  And they are looking forward to being active in the community.
