Dr. Miller, vascular surgeon, joins Southeast Surgical Associates

Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is pleased to welcome Michael Lee Miller, MD, vascular surgeon, to Southeast Surgical Associates.

Dr. Miller, board certified in vascular surgery, comes to Dothan from Coastal Vascular and Interventional in Crestview and Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He retired from active duty in the United States Air Force in 2014 with 23 years of service. He served as the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Eglin AFB for 9 years and completed two tours as the Theater Vascular Surgeon at Joint Base Balad in Iraq and two tours at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan.

Dr. Miller received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He earned his Medical Degree from Mercer School of Medicine in 1996. He did his internship and residency in general surgery at Keesler Medical Center at Kessler Air Force Base, Mississippi. He completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at University Medical Center, Tucson, Arizona in 2005.

Dr. Miller is a loving father with four children and two grandchildren. He is an avid motorcyclist and outdoorsman, spending much of his time outside of the hospital, camping, riding and working on his hunting property.
