Dr. Razzouk named chief medical information officer

Southeast Health is pleased to announce that Elie Razzouk, MD, MS, has been named chief medical information officer (CMIO) for the healthcare system. He will also retain his duties as associate program director of the Graduate Medical Education’s Internal Medicine Residency program.

As CMIO, Dr. Razzouk will report to Eric Daffron, chief information officer/vice president of Information Systems at Southeast Health. Dr. Razzouk is board certified in internal medicine and clinical informatics.

The CMIO serves as a liaison between Information Systems (IS) and the hospital’s clinical staff. Dr. Razzouk will maximize efficiency and quality derived from implemented IS systems.

He joined Southeast Health medical staff in 2015 as a hospitalist. He came to Dothan after completing his internal medicine residency at the University of Miami/JFK GME consortium in Atlantis, Florida.

Dr. Razzouk completed his Clinical Informatics training at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He earned his medical and bachelor degrees from American University of Beirut.

In their spare time, Dr. Razzouk and his wife Amber enjoy travelling and skiing.
