Lucie’s hometown is Enterprise, Alabama. She is a graduate of both Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and Troy University in Troy, Alabama. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and nurse practitioner certificate at Troy University. Her memberships include the Alabama State Nurses Association, Alabama College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She received the Federal Nurses Leadership Award in 2009 and 2010. She is Board Certified by American Nurses Credentialing Centers.

Lucie is an adjunct faculty member with the Troy University School of Nursing BSN program.
