Joseph E. Graham, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon with the Southeast Health Medial Group. He is a member of the medical staff at Southeast Health Medical Center and is in integral part of the Structural Heart Program at the hospital.

Dr. Graham, board certified in Thoracic Surgery, completed his medical education at the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara. His residency was completed at OSF St. Francis Medical Center then followed by a fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

As a cardiothoracic surgeon , Dr. Graham performs coronary artery bypass grafting, carotid endarterectomy, heart valve repairs and replacements, aortic surgeries, pneumonectomies, lobectomies and other procedures. He is specially trained in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and works closely with interventional cardiologists at Southeast Health to perform these procedures through a multi-disciplinary team approach.

Preparing for your appointment

To ensure all patients receive a thorough evaluation and the best care in a timely manner, we kindly request that you bring the following on the day of your appointment:
