Rhea McCord named Bee of the Year

Congratulations, Rhea, a two-time monthly Bee Award winner in August and September.

Her nomination recounted a time last summer when Rhea went out while on her break at work to help two older gentlemen with a flat tire. With the heat index at 114 degrees, Rhea grabbed a compressor and an extra tire iron to help them. She got down on her hands and knees in her scrubs on the hot pavement to help with the tire. Unfortunately the lug nuts were stripped and she couldn’t get them off. She then researched the closest tire shop that could get the lug nuts off. “It was a very selfless act that inspired me to do a better and really shows her impact on the community in general. This is one of many selfless acts she performs in and out of her job duties,” the nomination stated.
