Merideth M. Holland was appointed as Vice President of Strategic Service Lines at Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) in July 2016. Her prior experience includes serving as President and Founder of a strategy and operations consulting firm in Atlanta, Georgia where she consulted for SAMC’s NeuroSpine Center.

She comes to Dothan from Atlanta where she served as Executive Director of the Orthopaedic Service Line at Grady Health System and also served as the Senior Administrative Director for Emory Orthopedics, Sports and Spine and the Department of Orthopaedics at Emory University School of Medicine/Emory Clinic. Before moving to Atlanta, Merideth was the Director of Business Development and Assistant Administrator for multiple service lines within The Vanderbilt Clinic at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

She began her healthcare career at Baptist Hospital in Nashville as Manager of the Wellness Center and serving as Interim Clinical Administrator for the Bariatric Surgery Center. She received her Bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Alabama in 1995 where she served on the sidelines for Coach Gene Stallings.

She completed her Master’s degree in business administration while in Nashville at Belmont University in 2008.

Merideth is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. A native of the Wiregrass, Meredith is a 1991 graduate of Rehobeth High School. She is married to Joey Holland, also of Dothan, and together they have four children and two grandchildren.
