Southeast Health earns third consecutive Leapfrog “A”
Southeast Health Medical Center has earned an “A” for the third consecutive grading period by Leapfrog, one of the nation’s leading independent organizations that measures patient safety.
Leapfrog releases its prestigious hospital safety grades twice a year in the spring and fall. It is the only hospital rating program that is focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, injuries and infections that can lead to harm or even death. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
“We are committed to maintaining a culture of providing our patients with the safest care.” said Rick Sutton, chief executive officer of Southeast Health. “I’m proud of our team for earning this elite designation for the third time in a row dating back to the spring of 2025. Maintaining an “A” during three consecutive reporting periods is a result of our team being committed to a high standard of patient care.”
“Southeast Health deserves recognition for its unwavering focus on protecting patients and delivering safe care, earning an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade for three consecutive cycles,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “Sustaining this level of excellence over time shows a true, organization-wide commitment to making patient safety a top priority every single day.”
