Mandatory flu shots for Southeast Health employees, which includes the Medical Center, Medical Group, Foundation, Statera, and ACOM, are required annually beginning in September. Employees must have proof of receiving a flu shot by the end of October each year.
Flu shots are being offered at the Medical Center at no cost to team members. Per our policy, flu shots are mandatory for employment within the health system. The only exceptions are those who receive a medical or a religious exemption.
The flu vaccine schedule:
Southeast Health Medical Center – Seventh Floor Conference Room – Doctors Building- This is for employed team members only.
- Southeast Health team members (Including Southeast Health employed Physicians)
- Please check with Employee Health, Inside, and Daily STAT updates for dates and times.
- You do not need to schedule an appointment to receive the flu vaccine; you can walk in, and it will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you choose to get your flu shot somewhere other than Southeast Health, you must turn in proof of the vaccine with a copy of the paperwork to Employee Health.
If you have not received your flu shot and you don’t have an exemption by the deadline, you will be sent home until you comply with the policy. An employee who is sent home will have a week to comply or risk being terminated. If you have any questions, please address them with your director.
