Residency Training at Southeast health

We offer two ACGME-accredited residency programs, Internal Medicine and Transitional Year, supporting a vibrant community of 60 resident physicians. As a U.S. News Best Regional Hospital, Southeast Health combines academic excellence with compassionate care, preparing tomorrow’s physicians in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Experience Exceptional Clinical Training at Southeast Health

High-Acuity Care Environment: Train in a 420-bed acute care hospital with 56 critical care beds, a Level II Trauma Center, and a wide range of inpatient services.

Specialized Expertise: Gain hands-on experience in our Neurocritical Care Unit and one of Alabama’s four Comprehensive Stroke Centers.

Technology-Driven Practice: Work within the Epic health information system to streamline care delivery, documentation, and coordination across specialties.
