WHEN IT MATTERS MOST

WHEN IT MATTERS MOST

Doctors in the Stroke Lab.

When a patient is critically ill or seriously injured, every moment matters. At Southeast Health, our Critical Care Services provide continuous, highly specialized care for patients with life threatening conditions, supported by advanced technology and a dedicated team with deep clinical expertise.

Our hospital offers 56 adult critical care beds across three specialized units, allowing us to deliver the right level of care for each patient’s condition.

Our Critical Care Units

Neuro Critical Care
10 Beds

Our Neuro Critical Care Unit is dedicated to patients with complex brain and spine conditions. This unit provides focused, highly specialized monitoring and treatment for neurologic injuries and illnesses, ensuring patients receive care tailored to the unique needs of the nervous system.

Critical Care Unit – 3rd Floor
14 Beds

The 3rd Floor Critical Care Unit cares for open heart surgery patients and others who require advanced critical care. Patients receive continuous monitoring, specialized therapies, and rapid clinical response for serious, life-threatening conditions—24
hours a day.

Critical Care Unit – 4th Floor
32 Beds

Our largest Critical Care Unit, located on the 4th floor, provides expanded capacity for patients with the most complex and demanding medical needs. With 32 beds, this unit is designed to support high patient volumes while maintaining individualized attention and
timely care.

Care Supported by Intensivists

Critical care at Southeast Health is supported by an intensivist program, meaning physicians with specialized training in critical care medicine may be involved in or coordinate care for patients in our critical care units. Intensivists work closely with nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists to guide complex treatment decisions and respond quickly to changes in a patient’s condition. This team-based approach supports coordinated, consistent care for patients.

At Southeast Health, critical care combines clinical excellence with human connection by supporting patients and families through life’s most
challenging moments.

Critical Care Visitation

While rest is important for critically ill patients, family presence can support healing. One visitor may remain at the bedside at all times, and no more than two visitors may be in the room at one time to support patient care. Please note that visitation may be adjusted based on a patient’s condition.

Visiting Hours:
