Dr. Arshad joins the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute

Southeast Health is pleased to announce the addition of Tamjeed Arshad, MD, a board-certified electrophysiology (EP) cardiologist, to the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute.

Dr. Arshad comes to Southeast Health Medical Center from Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. He brings more than 20 years of EP cardiology experience to the Cardiovascular Institute. He also serves on the faculty of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine as an affiliated clinical assistant professor.

As an EP cardiologist, Dr. Arshad specializes in treating atrial fibrillation (AFIB) and other arrhythmias. He is also proficient in the implantation and management of cardiac devices, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex heart rhythm disorders.

Dr. Arshad received his medical degree from the University of the Punjab, Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan, India. He completed an internal medicine internship at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, New York. He did a residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he served as chief resident. He completed fellowships in cardiology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and EP at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
