
Dr. Budde joins Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute
Southeast Health is pleased to announce Jason M. Budde, MD, cardiothoracic surgeon, has joined the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute.
Dr. Budde, who is board certified in general and thoracic surgery, brings about 20 years of thoracic surgery experience to the Medical Center. A native of Chicago, but raised in Atlanta, he has divided his time between these two metropolitan areas during the past five years delivering heart and cancer care at Mercy, Northeast Georgia Health, and City of Hope medical systems. He so loved his recent opportunities to serve the Dothan medical community that he was thrilled to join the team on a full time basis.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in French from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. He earned his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta.
He completed his general surgery residency, a cardiothoracic research lab fellowship and a cardiothoracic surgery clinical fellowship at Emory University. He also did a fellowship in thoracic surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center in New York. In addition, he earned a Physician Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
