Dr. Peden is a native of Crestview, Florida. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. His received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma, both in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Peden is married and has two children, three granddaughters and one grandson.
