Jason M. Budde, MD, is an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon with the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute. He is a member of the medical staff at Southeast Health Medical Center.
Dr. Budde is board certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery. He completed his medical education at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his general surgery residency, a cardiothoracic research lab fellowship and a cardiothoracic surgery clinical fellowship at Emory University. He also completed a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York.
As a cardiothoracic surgeon, he performs a wide range of procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, carotid endarterectomy, heart valve repairs and replacements, aortic surgeries, pneumonectomies, and lobectomies. He is specially trained in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and collaborates closely with interventional cardiologists at the Medical Center to perform these procedures through a multi-disciplinary team approach.
