Mark Willis, MD

 

Dr. Willis is an anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician who joined Southeast Health Pain Management after completing a fellowship at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.Originally from Oakdale, Louisiana, Dr. Willis served five years in the United States Navy Submarine Force before attending college. He participated in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Before his discharge in 1991, Dr. Willis was stationed in San Diego, California; Groton, Connecticut; Dam Neck, Virginia; Charleston, South Carolina; and Kings Bay, Georgia. During his military service Dr. Willis was honored with the Navy Good Conduct Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and a Letter of Meritorious Achievement issued by Rear Admiral T.A. Meinicke, Commander of COMSUBGRP 6.

Dr. Willis is a graduate of Georgia State University in Atlanta with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He received his doctorate of medicine, transitional internship, anesthesiology residency training and pain management fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He is a member of the American Pain Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He is licensed in the states of Georgia and Alabama.

Dr. Willis and his wife, Kimberly, live in Dothan. They are the proud parents of three beautiful children; Alyssa, Avery and Mark Jr. His personal interests, besides spending time with his family, include weight-lifting, golf, running and water skiing.
