SAMC system and Statera Health welcome new CEO of Clinical Integration Organization

Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) and Statera Health are pleased to welcome Marc J. Miller, MBA, FACHE, FACMPE, as chief executive officer of the Clinical Integration Organization (CIN) called Statera Health.

Statera, which is a Latin word that means both quality and balance, is an affiliation between local physicians, Statera and SAMC. Statera enables SAMC and local physicians, payors and employers to balance healthcare costs in the community and quality healthcare to our patients.

Miller comes to Statera with more than 15 years of healthcare administration experience. He most recently served as business development executive at Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network in Nashville, Tenn. Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network is the largest clinical integration organization in the Southeast with 4,500 physicians and 56 health systems over a five state region.

Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Marc was corporate vice president, physician services, at Ardent Health Services, Nashville, Tenn. He has also held executive healthcare positions in Ocala, Fla., and Asheville, N.C.

Marc earned his undergraduate degree in general business with a concentration in marketing from Stetson University in Deland, Fla. He completed his MBA in marketing at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

Marc has served on numerous professional boards and has been published in national publications. He and his wife Cindy have two daughters, Adrianne and Whitney.
