Taylor named director of GME Administration

Southeast Health is pleased to welcome Patti D. Taylor as director of Graduate Medical Education (GME) administration.

Patti comes to Southeast Health after spending the last 14 years as GME program manager of the department of OB/GYN at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in Johnson City, Tennessee. She also served in numerous capacities in the GME department at ETSU since 1999.

Patti graduated cum laude from ETSU with a bachelor’s degree in general studies. She received national recognition for her service to the Association of Program Managers in OB/GYN in various leadership roles for 10 years. In 2017, Patti was appointed as the first program manager faculty member for the prestigious Council on Resident Education in OB/GYN’s School for Program Directors and Program Managers. In this role, she developed the national curriculum for the professional development of OB/GYN program managers. Patti’s commitment and dedication to medical education was greatly influenced by her mother’s nursing career.

Patti, having lived her entire life in northeast Tennessee, was impressed by Southeast Health’s vision and commitment to excellence in medical education. She took a leap of faith and moved to Dothan to join the Southeast Health team. She looks forward to being a part of the exciting expansion and future of the GME division.

Patti’s daughter, Samantha, and 2 grandpups live in Tennessee. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to fascinating places such as Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Belize with her partner, Phil. They also enjoy entertaining, cooking and binge-watching Netflix.
